My Home Town

I have been traveling back to my home town of Philadelphia, PA on several occasions and while there took several pictures.  I would like to share them with everyone, so I decided to make this page with them on.

These first pictures were taken Fourth of July weekend 2008.

This is Penn's Landing, where we came for a free Boyz II Men concert.

This is the USS Carney home from 4 years deployment.

The USS New Jersey docked across the river at Camden.

Fountains at Penn's Landing.

The Liberty Bell at Independence Mall.

Independence Hall.

Fountain at Love Park.

Me and Chuck in front of the LOVE statue.

Famous Thinker statue in front of the Rodin Museum.

Chuck in front of Eastern State Penitentiary.
The Penitentiary has been closed since 1971 and is in disrepair.
It is a historical site.

Cellblock 7.

The main guard tower.

Famous Al Capone's cell as it was long ago.

Side view of past Chief Justice John Marshall behind the Art Museum.

Famous ROCKY statue by the Art Museum.

My favorite radio station WJJZ at Penn's Landing.

WPVI's inflatable van at Penn's Landing.

Boyz II Men at Penn's Landing.
With 25,000 people in attendance, it was hard to get close to them.
